Physiotherapy and Cancer

Exercise can help alleviate some of the side effects of cancer treatment. Pain, fatigue, nausea, drowsiness, a reduction in strength and general fitness and stiffness in the joints are all common side effects. Cancer rehab and exercise can help with these. Our skilled physiotherapists will devise a schedule that is suited to your individual needs.

Chemotherapy treatment can be exhausting, both during the course of the treatment but also in many cases for some time after. Physiotherapy sessions can help manage some of these side effects. Exercise has been shown to reduce fatigue brought on by chemotherapy treatment along with improving sleep levels and also general mood.

If it's post surgery that you would like help with, our physios can focus on that too. Healing of the incision site, improving the blood circulation around that area and reduction in pain are all areas that they will target.
